*Due to two other fandoms eating my life for the past few months ::koff::Supernatural, Firefly::koff,koff:: I have to admit to being a little remiss in reading SG:A fic for a while. So, what I'm asking all you lovely people out there, is to give me your recs for what you believe to be the best fics written in the past few months.

Thank you very much in advance!

ETA: I'm an idiot and forget to mention that I prefer gen or slash - McShep primarily, but I'll take just about any slash pairing. As far as genre, anything goes!

A little specification would've been nice of whether you want gen, het or slash, if not in your post than at least the tags. *hint, hint*

Anyways, for me stuff that sticks out is [livejournal.com profile] sardonicsmiley's fics; she posted a few gems over the last few months, plus finished the first installment of her high school McShep AU series.

Then there was The Epic Tale of Rodney & John, Two Girl Scout Cookies in Love [The Pix or it Didn't Happen Remix] (http://bitter-crimson.livejournal.com/577790.html) created by [livejournal.com profile] bitter_crimson, which has McShep!cookie!pr0n, and if that isn't the bestest thing ever, then I don't know what is.

Also, sometime in March [livejournal.com profile] loves_rodney started posting wonderful drawings/art of various Rodney!love scenarios in various eps, all in comic form, which is just. So. Much. Win.

Oh. [livejournal.com profile] mcshepsmooch had another go at the McShep kissing, and [livejournal.com profile] sticksandsnark brought forth all the hidden Rodney/Teyla love that this fandom had been hiding. Good times.

I'm not sure how much time qualifies as "the past few months", but in late February, the stories from the zine Surfacing 2 (http://www.duetpress.com/duet_press/Surfacing2.htm) were released to the Internet at large. Some industrious soul has tagged (most of) them on del.icio.us here (http://del.icio.us/fydyan/Surfacing). Prepare yourself for some serious quality reading time. It's like Christmas, if Christmas presents were awesome McKay/Sheppard fics instead of, you know, socks or something.

If that's not the right link, let me know. del.icio.us is down right now, so I can't check properly; I'm working off my bookmarks.

There were a ton of fantastic stories posted for [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic's not dead yet challenge (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/tag/not+dead+yet+challenge), one of which I stuck on my all-time favorites list, by [livejournal.com profile] chandri, called Twelve Days' Breath (http://chandri.livejournal.com/750256.html).

Another story that I really enjoyed which was posted recently was a McShep re-make of Sleepless in Seattle by [livejournal.com profile] villainny, posted over at [livejournal.com profile] harlequin_sga called Sleepless (http://community.livejournal.com/harlequin_sga/70826.html).
