Marriage!

I'm looking for McShep fics in which the boys get engaged and/or married. I just read Check One, which was too cute for words, and now I'm in the mood. ;)

Here are the few I recall having read before (all of which I recommend):
+ Check One
+ Catch-19
+ Oasis

I also don't mind fics where they get married in some alien ritual off-world, so long as they stay married.

However, I would prefer:
+ no non-Atlantis AUs
+ no kid!fics

But, if you know of any non-Atlantis AUs that you really recommend, then that's okay.

Any ideas?

There was a previous search asking for fics in which Rodney and John get married (http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/102574.html), and another for fics in which they already are commited or married (http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/105633.html). Hope that helps.

Also, many complete AUs mentioned in those are totally excellent; you should definitely give 'em a go, especially if they have any Harlequin-type wibe to them. ;-)

I wondered why there was no marriage tag/requests I could find. I was just looking in the wrong spot.

Well, so far those were the only two posts asking for "married" fics (I double-checked with ljseek) so the genre didn't warrant a tag. Maybe if there are some future searches with other pairings it will get a tag of its own. :-)

There's the Geeks and Goons Series (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewuser.php?uid=350) b< likethekoschka. They are already married, but in one story they tell in flashbacks how they got engaged...I think. It's great and definitely no kid!fics.

Oh yes. I had that one bookmarked for future reading but didn't know they were married. Yay!

Can you tell me, aren't there separate Geek series and Goon series related to these ones? Should I read those first?
