Post-Atlantis stories

I asked for a specific genre of SGA fics on my personal journal, and _workinprogress directed me here. I hope someone can help!

I'm looking for fics that take place post-Atlantis--kinda like "The Return", inasmuch where the expedition comes back to Earth, but not necessarily related to those eps. I want stories that show the culture shock of returning to an Earth that's moved on in their absence. I'd like to see whether the team bonds last after they leave Atlantis. Do they stay at the SGC? Do they abandon it completely? Are they angry? Do they (like in "The Return") want to get back to Atlantis?

This request was inspired by reading "Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose" by synecdochic, in case that gives you more of a clue as to what I want.

Have you read last years Big Bang stories? Return to Normalcy fits this quite well.

And there's I Got Soul But I'm Not a Soldier (http://minervacat.stormwerks.net/gates/sga/notasoldier.html) by minervacat, which frequently gets compared to Freedom's Just Another Word, but is about John.

The truth is, the only not-slash fic of the kind you want, other than "Freedom...", is khohen1's Tag, You're It (http://khohen1.livejournal.com/663388.html) and its remix We Used To Be Friends (The ComeOnNowSugar, BringItOnBringItOnYeah Remix) (http://community.livejournal.com/remix_redux/74394.html?mode=reply) by justabi, which is Elizabeth centric (past Elizabeth/Rodney); the former is set during their stay on Earth in "The Return" eps, and the latter jumps between past, present and future events concerning Elizabeth and Rodney. But you could try the few fics listed here (http://del.icio.us/ultimateficarchiver/sga+gen+onearth) and see if any of them might be what you want.

Distance From Here to Wherever You Are is a very good one by abyssinia4077 along those lines. (Edited to add: It's gen, primarily Rodney/John/Elizabeth friendship, with an apocalyptic feel to it.)
