Rodney + animal companion

I'm looking for stories in which Rodney has a pet on Atlantis, real or mechanical/Ancient/whatever.

I've only ever read a few, and I can only remember three of them off the top of my head:

+ Wraith Killers
+ Sigma Draconis
+ The Trouble with Tribbles

(All of which, btw, I recommend.)

McShep stories win you extra cookies, but I certainly won't turn away any Rodney-centric gen fics.

That would be "Wraith Killers," which, if you haven't read, I do recommend. And it is a pet fic! Rodney gets the original Wraith-killing-tiger-cat as a pet kitten from John. ;) And then it goes from there, lol.

Re: "Wraith Killers" - *facepalm* I noticed you posted it first on your list of already read pet!fics the minute I hit "send". I've read it, but it's been a while (obviously).

Oh, in the meantime I've read the previously unread fics from my list - "Mincemeat" is utterly lovely and schmoopy, and "When the Kittens..." is actually set off-world, the team runs into large cats. Really *large*. And "It Followed Me..." remains The Huntress' fic, and that's all I will say about that.

This doesn't fic exactly but it came to mind when I read this post. In "The World According to Rover", Rodney gets a semi-sentient cart. It may not be organic but it sure acts like a pet. :D You can find it at Wraithbait.
