Two requests

Hi there! Am looking for two sorts of fic:

1). I've read a lot of action/adventure fic, and a lot of domestic McShep - where they have kids/etc. I was wondering if there are fics that combine the two? Where they have a kid but there is a still a bad guy who is after them for some reason, and the two genres blur?

2). I recently read Shades of Grey and loved it, and I was wondering if there are similar fics where John is protective of Rodney when he's threatened/picked on because he's a geek/a civilian? There was another fic I read where Rodney was stranded in the cold offworld because the people they met believed he was weak and needed toughening up... Are there any more fics along those lines?

I'd really appreciate any recs if anything works for these! Thanks

For #2 you could try Dealing With Doranda (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=14070) by Arnie. It's a post-Trinity fic with Shep defending McKay from bullying marines. (Gen)
