looking for a specific kind of AU

I'm looking for AUs in which Sheppard belongs to a despised, oppressed, and/or feared group or minority. Bonus points if that comes with special abilities that are then nevertheless exploited, but that's not a must. Examples for what I have in mind would be Aegis by Leah and Springwoof, M Is for Monster by Seleneheart, or Dearest by Lavvyan.

Thanks! Though I'm not really looking for stories with bug!John where he's feared because of the transformation (though if there are any out there not yet on my thematic list for this I'd love to hear about them).

BDSM AUs aren't really what I meant, I had more the X-Men mutant kind of premise in mind. You know, feared minority, still does their duty to safe humanity, that kind of thing.

Er, I gave "M Is for Monster" as an example in my request, didn't I? That one is a dystopia with harsh anti-gay laws. So, other stories with him being gay would work for me as the reason for oppression as long as the society is more of a dystopia than the current one and the consequences more dramatic in the plot than "he worries about DADT".

there's a Beauty and the Beast McShep AU - Where John is the Beast (conversion/bug thing) and Rodney grows flowers. Rodney figures out how to 'cure' John in the end though, so it's sort of what you are looking for and also sort of conversion. I suck at links, but maybe some will know. I know its been searched for on sgastoryfinders a little bit ago.
